This project has been completed but is included because it has led to an ongoing relationship with its main funder, Film Hub South West & Midlands.

The project involved a short series of archive shows which included live on stage interviews with local people with long memories of the area and audience discussion. Interviews and discussions were filmed as future archive. The shows were highly successful, both in terms of audience numbers and of reactions recorded on audience questionnaires.

In April 2017, at the village hall in Cerne Abbas, broadcaster and radio producer Debra Hearne interviewed people from the local community about their memories of living and working in and around Cerne Abbas and Godmanstone. The live interviews were part of a presentation of films from the Windrose Rural Media Trust Film Archive, including winter farming during World War Two, a last ride on the Bridport Branch Railway and memories of Symondsbury in the 1930s. The event was in association with Cerne Historical Society. (http://www.cerneabbashistory.org) Joining Debra on the Cerne Abbas stage is Jane Standing, who has lived in Godmanstone for over 70 years. Jane was on Parish Council for 18 years, and is still very much involved the village.
